Announcing a new website: 4States SportsScene

Arklahoma Sports is proud to announce the launch of a new website.

It will be called 4States SportsScene, and will cover high school and college sports pertaining to Eastern Oklahoma, Western Arkansas, Northeast Texas and Northwest Louisiana. The coverage area will go from Fort Smith (the site’s home base) to Texarkana to Shreveport to Longview to Broken Bow and everywhere in between.

Original content will be featured on the website, ranging from game stories and live updates to features and columns.

The website is also under the helm of a new managing editor, who will be officially introduced in the coming days. At the moment, the official launch date is set for Sunday, November 10, but new content may be on the website from now until then.

4States SportsScene is going to be a division of the Arklahoma Sports network. Arklahoma Sports will remain the name of the Facebook page, but content from 4States SportsScene will appear on the Arklahoma Sports Facebook page, which is run separately from the website.

Also, Arklahoma Sports still appears prominently on the website and the e-mail address. 4States SportsScene can be accessed on www.arklahomasports.com, and those wishing to e-mail the website can use realarklahomasports@gmail.com. There is a link on the website to the Arklahoma Sports Facebook page as well.

Quote of the week

"People ask me what I do in the winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring."
