Pitching Impressive As Howe Lady Lions Beat Healdton Lady Bulldogs

Both teams were strong in the circle on Friday, but the Howe Lady Lions defeated Healdton Lady Bulldogs 3-1. Kaydence Delt started the game for Howe and recorded 12 outs.
A ground out by Delt put Howe on the board in the top of the first.
Ryleigh Veal hit into a fielder’s choice, which helped Healdton tie the game at one in the bottom of the second.
In the top of the fourth inning, Howe went back into the lead after Lexi Scarberry singled, and Karley Duvall singled, each scoring one run.
Delt started in the circle for the Lady Lions. The pitcher surrendered two hits and one run (zero earned) over four innings, striking out three and walking two. Piper Lawson started in the circle for Healdton. The starter surrendered seven hits and three runs over four innings, striking out one and walking none.
Jozlyn Johnson, Josey Peterson, Duvall, Micah Davidson, Slatey Free, Kylie Mundy, and Scarberry each collected one hit for Howe Lady Lions. Duvall, Delt, and Scarberry each drove in one run for Howe. Free stole two bases.
Trinidee Reynolds and JeriAnn Riner each collected one hit for Healdton. Veal led the Lady Bulldogs with one run batted in. The Lady Bulldogs were sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Kylee Watkins made the most plays with five.
