Panama Varsity Ladybacks bested Red Oak Varsity Lady Eagles 5-3 on Friday.
Panama Varsity Ladybacks opened the scoring in the top of the second thanks to three walks. Panama Varsity Ladybacks first got on the board when Kylee Gollihare drew a walk, scoring one run.
Red Oak Varsity Lady Eagles scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh on a home run to left field by Blaykee Ward.
Kaylee Brady stepped in the circle first for Panama Varsity Ladybacks. The starter surrendered seven hits and three runs over seven innings, striking out seven and walking none. Maggie Wilson stepped in the circle first for Red Oak Varsity Lady Eagles. The right-handed pitcher surrendered two hits and three runs over one and two-thirds innings, striking out two and walking five.
