Andruw Covey collected four hits in four at bats, as Howe Varsity Lions defeated Okay Varsity Mustangs 8-0 on Thursday. Covey doubled in the second inning, singled in the first inning, singled in the fifth inning, and singled in the sixth inning.
Aiden Scott struck out 10 batters on the day. The lefty also gave up three hits and zero runs over six innings while walking six.
Howe Varsity Lions got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Shayne Mead hit into a double play, and Wesley Toney stole home, each scoring one run.
