Porum Varsity Panthers Triumph Over Coleman Varsity Wildcats

Porum Varsity Panthers topped Coleman Varsity Wildcats 9-5 on Tuesday at New Lima, Ok.

Porum Varsity Panthers opened the scoring in the first after I Sallee homered to left field, scoring two runs.

Easton Bayles singled, which helped Coleman Varsity Wildcats tie the game at two in the top of the second.

In the top of the third, Coleman Varsity Wildcats broke up the tie when an error scored one run. Then an error followed to extend the lead to 4-2.

Porum Varsity Panthers tied the game in the bottom of the third thanks to an error, and a single by M Tripp.

Porum Varsity Panthers flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the fourth, scoring five runs on five hits to take the lead, 9-4. The biggest blow in the inning was a double by Tripp following a 8-pitch at-bat that drove in two.

C Franklin earned the win for Porum Varsity Panthers. The pitcher allowed five hits and five runs (zero earned) over five innings, striking out five and walking two. Madden Sawyer took the loss for Coleman Varsity Wildcats. The starting pitcher went four innings, allowing nine runs (four earned) on 11 hits, striking out five and walking none.

Porum Varsity Panthers amassed 11 hits in the game. Tripp led Porum Varsity Panthers with three runs batted in. The first baseman went 2-for-3 on the day. Franklin went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Porum Varsity Panthers in hits. Sallee collected two hits for Porum Varsity Panthers in three at bats. G. Scarberry stole two bases.

Taven Heath went 1-for-2 at the plate and led the team with one run batted in. Heath, Bayles, Noah Blue, Holden Hamilton, and Sawyer each collected one hit for Coleman Varsity Wildcats.

Porum Varsity Panthers will travel to New Lima Varsity Falcons for their next game on Tuesday.
