Leflore Varsity Lady Savages Earn Walk-Off Win Over Buffalo Valley

It came down to the wire on Tuesday, as Leflore Varsity Lady Savages grabbed the victory in walk-off fashion, 5-4, over Buffalo Valley. The game was tied at four in the bottom of the seventh when Joleigh James singled, scoring one run.
Leah Lloyd collected four hits in four at bats in the win. Lloyd tripled in the sixth inning, singled in the first inning, singled in the third inning, and singled in the fourth inning.
Leflore Varsity Lady Savages were the first to get on the board in the third when Shaila Bohanan singled, scoring one run.
Buffalo Valley tied the game in the top of the fifth thanks to a double by #9, and a fielder’s choice by #12.
Buffalo Valley took the lead in the top of the sixth. #3 singled, scoring one run, to give Buffalo Valley the lead, 3-2.
A triple by Lloyd gave Leflore Varsity Lady Savages the lead, 4-3, in the bottom of the sixth.
Buffalo Valley scored on a passed ball, which helped Buffalo Valley tie the game at four in the top of the seventh.
Lloyd opened the game for Leflore Varsity Lady Savages. The starting pitcher allowed four hits and four runs (zero earned) over seven innings, striking out eight and walking none. #42 opened the game for Buffalo Valley. The pitcher surrendered 10 hits and five runs (four earned) over six and two-thirds innings, striking out three and walking five.
