Kass’s Big Day Propels Wister Varsity Lady Wildcats Past Haworth

Kass drove in five runs on four hits to lead Wister Varsity Lady Wildcats past Haworth 21-2 on Tuesday. Kass tripled in the first scoring two, singled in the first scoring one, tripled in the second scoring one, and tripled in the third scoring one.

Wister Varsity Lady Wildcats jumped out to the lead in the top of the first inning after Kass singled, scoring one run, Maci Wolf grounded out, scoring one run, an error scored one run, Mia tripled, scoring two runs, Bailyn Robertson was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, Kass tripled, scoring two runs, and Wolf singled, scoring two runs.

Wister Varsity Lady Wildcats added to their early lead in the top of the second inning after Allison doubled, Robertson doubled, and Kass tripled, each scoring one run.

Underwood earned the win for Wister Varsity Lady Wildcats. The reliever gave up zero hits and zero runs over two innings, striking out four and walking none. Jackie Burns stepped in the circle first for Wister Varsity Lady Wildcats. The starting pitcher allowed zero hits and two runs over one inning, striking out two and walking three. #8 started in the circle for Haworth. The starter allowed 21 hits and 21 runs (12 earned) over three innings, striking out two and walking three.
